Community Screening Kit

TASH is an international organization seeking equity, opportunity and inclusion for people with disabilities. A New Kind of Listening was selected for the 2010 TASH Positive Images in the Media Award because it demonstrates new possibilities for community inclusion, communication and friendship. A New Kind of Listening is a valuable film for educators, students and service providers in the disability field.
Barb Trader, Executive Director, TASH

I have watched many ‘expanding inclusive arts’ efforts come about over the years, yet it seems that the glue to really getting it off the ground this time was the showing of the documentary and the community dialogue and events that followed. I was very glad to be a part of this.
Roxann Colwell, Family Support Network of Western North Carolina

Join the Inclusive Arts Campaign!

Organize a screening to inspire dialogue and action. Your screening event can help start an inclusive arts project in your community. Download the Organizer’s Toolkit to find out how. Screening events promote inclusion in the arts and will give focus to the important role the arts can play in celebrating all members of your community. The Community Screening Kit for free public programs includes one community-licensed DVD for your organization and five home use DVD’s you can sell.  The kit is essentially free. It “pays for itself” because you can sell the extra DVD’s to cover kit costs.  And we’ll also throw in some Speechless Mindless buttons.
