“Finding the Ability in Disability through Art” Workshop in Asheville, NC

Interweave Asheville will be hosting a workshop, “Finding the Ability in Disability through Art” May 22nd.  Arts Access, Inc. and  VSA South Carolina: The State Organization on Arts and Disability are lead hosts of this  event focused on including people with disabilities in the arts.  VSA SC teaching artist W. LaVone Griffin will lead a workshop designed to give community members ideas and approaches to working with people with a variety of disabilities through their particular artistic discipline or program. It will also be a chance to network with community members who are interested in arts and disability! The event takes place Sun., May 22, 2011 from 3-5 pm at the Artery, 346 Depot St., Asheville, NC  28801. Free and Open to the Public.

Arts for All Cabaret in Raleigh 1st Fridays April-May

Following our Raleigh screening InterPlay  and other artists and activists came together to organize Arts for All Cabaret.  Enjoy an evening of creative play in which all abilities are welcome! The events take place on 1st Fridays in April and May from 7:30-9pm at Crocker’s Mark Gallery, 613 West Morgan Street (next to Moonlight Pizza), Raleigh, NC.
